December 23, 1974 in Roswell, NM. He is buried at South Park Cemetery. He was married to Anna Pearl DURHAM in Greenville, TX. I am the descendant of his mother's sister, Myra Rufina DICTSON DICKSON. Please contact me. I would like to exchange information. |

| I need information on the death of
Charles KING. Is there a probate record listing children? Where is he
buried? Charles KING and his wife Mary arrived in Chaves County, NM after 1880. Charles and Mary were born in Alabama. Mary A. KING is listed as a widow for 1900, 1910, 1920 in Roswell, Chaves County, NM. Mary A. KING died January 28, 1924 and is buried in South Park Cemetery. I also need the marriage date before 1910 for daughter Frank/Frankie to William JOHNSON. They are in the 1910 and 1920 censuses in Roswell, Chaves County, NM. Frankie was single in 1900. Other known children are Ruby (who later married a Mr. HENRY), Tobias/Tobe/Toby, and Pilinia (married to Samuel CUNNINGHAM. These children were born in Texas. |

| I am looking for information on
Smith PRESTON, from Chaves County. He is my husband's great
grandfather. His son's name was Alva PRESTON, who was married to
Alpha Ruth PRESTON. They lived in Socorro, but my husband's grandmother says that Smith PRESTON is buried somewhere in Chaves County. I did find Alva and Alpha in the census. Alva died in the early 1940s. |

| Paul Presley MURRAY was born
in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico in 1909. His death certificate lists
his dad's name as Murray and mother's name as Queen. He died in 1959 in
California, and left no other information. His first wife's name was Dorothy HANNON, but I do not know whether they were married before they arrived in California. Thank you. |

| I am searching for any relative of my
mother, who was adopted. Her name at birth was Bettye Evelyne McELHINEY,
born September 11, 1936 in Silver City, New Mexico.
She was adotped by Jack D. and Mertie L. WHITEMAN of Roswell, New Mexico about 1940. Her biological mother tried unsuccessfully to get custody of her through the court. My mother was told that she had a brother about two years older than she, and a female cousin, also living in Roswell, but does not know her name. Any information would be appreciated.

| My great grandmother, Lucy Ann
COLEMAN, died in Dexter August 4, 1926. Her son, Victor COLEMAN, was living
with her sometimes. They are listed in the 1910 census, living in Roswell. Her son, James Arthur COLEMAN, lived somewhere in that area. He is listed in the 1910 census living in Elkins with his wife, Daisy, and children Agnes T. and Edith M. COLEMAN. I would like to find out where she is buried, and would like to have funeral records, an obituary, or anything else that can give me some information on her children. |

| I am looking for any information
on the GRIZZLE women of Chaves County, NM. James W. GRIZZLE
came to Chaves County from Tennessee with his wife, Aletha, around 1909.
They had nine children, eight of which are girls. The only boy, Wiley,
married a lady named Ollie B., last name unknown. Wiley died in September
1973 at Fort Sumner, De Baca County, New Mexico.. I would like marriage
information to help me trace these girls. If there are any resources
available that would list these marriages, I would appreciate the help. This family is listed in the 1910 census in Chaves County, New Mexico on page 184a. The names of the girls are: Martha J., Lyda Mae, Eula Lee, Hannah J., Angie, Pearl, Clara, and Lorina. I believe Lyda Mae died as a child, so I am looking for information on the other seven girls. If anyone can help me, I will appreciate it. Thanks. |

| I am researching William Bell
McDONALD and Maggie Lee UNKNOWN. Both are buried in South Park Cemetery,
Roswell, Chaves County, NM. William was born around 1860 out of state and
died 24 February 1934. Maggie was born 11 April 1879 in Texas and died in
August 1967 in Roswell. They are my great-great grandparents and I am deadended. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

| I am searching for any information
on the SELBY families who moved to Chaves County, New Mexico. Sanford SELBY was born in 1859 in Tennessee, and his wife Sophina CLOUSE SELBY was born in 1869 in Tennessee. They moved to New Mexico sometime after 1900 from Tennessee. Sophina SELBY died in 1936 and is buried in the South Park Cemetery. Their children were: Sanford left sometime after 1936 and went to Oklahoma, and then on to California where he is buried in San Joaquin, California. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |
